The study is being funded by a research grant from WIRES.
Initially the study was confined to red-necked wallabies and red-necked pademelons. The initial Protocol document (below) outlines the study background and investigation plan (including record keeping, documentation and diagnostics and communications).
If you have joeys that you believe might be affected please keep detailed notes and records as it is important to document how widespread this issue might be. Contact a member of the research team for advice on what samples your vet might collect and/or to discuss sharing your joey's records as part of the research.
